Georgian Garnet Solitaire Ring
An exceptional Georgian solitaire ring set with a moody, brooding, blood-red garnet with foil backing that gives the appearance of dark thunderclouds boiling in the heart of the stone. It's flanked by two old mine cut diamonds, the stones set over metal foil to reflect the light back out of them, enhancing their colour and brightness. Crafted in 15ct gold throughout with an ornate rococo band and elegant trifurcated shoulders. Preserved in excellent condition, it's clean and near-enough pristine. English, circa 1800.

We offer detailed and accurate condition reports on each listing. These pieces are antique, vintage, or pre-loved, often over 100 years old so they're going to have lived a life. A healthy patina and the odd scuff/scrape are quite normal... it's part of their charm! Everything we present has been checked over by our jeweller and should be good for wear for many years to come (unless otherwise stated) but please remember to treat them with appropriate care and consideration for their age.
