Edwardian Double Heart MIZPAH Brooch
"The Lord watch between Me & Thee when we are absent from One Another" - Genesis 31:49
Mizpah brooch with a multitude of symbolic meaning. It was made during the early 20th century (1908) comprising two hearts joined together with a ribbon bow at the top, and an ivy vine at the bottom. Both of these symbolise fidelity through love, and act to further emphasise the MIZPAH sentiment. The left heart has the word MIZPAH in applied rose gold lettering accompanied by the bible verse associated with it engraved above and below. The right heart is home to two applied gold flowers, one rose and one yellow gold. Isn't it a delightful little love token from a bygone era?

Condition
We offer detailed and accurate condition reports on each listing. These pieces are antique, vintage, or pre-loved, often over 100 years old so they're going to have lived a life. A healthy patina and the odd scuff/scrape are quite normal... it's part of their charm! Everything we present has been checked over by our jeweller and should be good for wear for many years to come (unless otherwise stated) but please remember to treat them with appropriate care and consideration for their age.
