Arts & Crafts Star Sapphire Stirrup Ring
Sleek and streamlined Arts & Crafts stirrup ring set with a single, pale blue star sapphire. The ring has a stirrup shaped profile and simple rub-over setting that forms two peaks at either side of the stone. The sapphire is natural, cut into an oval cabochon that perfectly displays the six-pointed star that appears to shimmer and dance across the surface as it moves through the light (an optical effect known as asterism). Built in 9 carat gold, circa 1910.

Condition
We offer detailed and accurate condition reports on each listing. These pieces are antique, vintage, or pre-loved, often over 100 years old so they're going to have lived a life. A healthy patina and the odd scuff/scrape are quite normal... it's part of their charm! Everything we present has been checked over by our jeweller and should be good for wear for many years to come (unless otherwise stated) but please remember to treat them with appropriate care and consideration for their age.
