Arts & Crafts Garnet Paste Pendant
Here is a very pretty antique pendant that was made at the very beginning of the 20th Century in the Arts & Crafts style. The pendant was made by hand from 9 carat gold and is a beautiful abstract shape - like a heart with an extra lobe at the top - with curved ribbons around a bright red garnet paste gemstone.
The Arts & Crafts style is characterised by long, organic flowing lines that take inspiration from nature. Similar to the French Art Nouveau movement, and Jugendstil in other parts of Europe.
Era: Art Nouveau circa 1910
Size: 3.5cm x 2.5cm
Garnet: 5.5mm
Weight: 2.0g
Condition: Very good. Some slight imperfections to the goldwork but nothing significant or detrimental to the beauty of the pendant.

Condition
We offer detailed and accurate condition reports on each listing. These pieces are antique, vintage, or pre-loved, often over 100 years old so they're going to have lived a life. A healthy patina and the odd scuff/scrape are quite normal... it's part of their charm! Everything we present has been checked over by our jeweller and should be good for wear for many years to come (unless otherwise stated) but please remember to treat them with appropriate care and consideration for their age.
