Victorian Sapphire & Diamond Cigar Band
RESERVED A ring unstuck in time... the 1860s did not come to mind which I first saw this ring. It looks late 1930s to 1940s in style - late Deco to retro - with the double band and stylised braided head design, but there's a British patent mark (aka lozenge mark) inside the band that dates the registration of this specific design to 18th October, 1862. It's heavy and chunky, set with old mine cut diamonds flanking a central sapphire, and crafted in solid 18ct gold.

Condition
We offer detailed and accurate condition reports on each listing. These pieces are antique, vintage, or pre-loved, often over 100 years old so they're going to have lived a life. A healthy patina and the odd scuff/scrape are quite normal... it's part of their charm! Everything we present has been checked over by our jeweller and should be good for wear for many years to come (unless otherwise stated) but please remember to treat them with appropriate care and consideration for their age.
