Georgian Rose Diamond Cluster Ring
This sublime Georgian flower cluster ring was made during the latter half of the 18th century, circa 1780. A time of great upheaval in Europe, the 1780s saw the inception of modern philosophy, and is widely considered to be the fulcrum between the Age of Enlightenment and the Industrial Revolution.
The central stone is a highly domed rose cut diamond, set in silver, with crisp triangular facets and metal foil behind it to enhance its brightness; the outer halo of diamonds are set in individual mounts, reminiscent of tulips when viewed from the back. A 15ct gold band with elegant bifurcated shoulders is original to the piece, and features a simple gold trefoil design in the middle of the split.

Condition
We offer detailed and accurate condition reports on each listing. These pieces are antique, vintage, or pre-loved, often over 100 years old so they're going to have lived a life. A healthy patina and the odd scuff/scrape are quite normal... it's part of their charm! Everything we present has been checked over by our jeweller and should be good for wear for many years to come (unless otherwise stated) but please remember to treat them with appropriate care and consideration for their age.
