1955 Openwork Diamond Ring
Stunning mid-century diamond solitaire dating from the 1950s. The 1.01ct old European cut diamond is clean and bright, set in a simple bezel mount that rises above the openwork band. It's crafted in 18 carat white gold with London hallmarks for the year 1955, and pretty hand-etched detailing to the outer band. The S&W maker's mark indicates it was made by Slade & Wolfe, a highly esteemed British jewellery manufacturer operating in London's Hatton Garden between 1947 and 1986.

Condition
We offer detailed and accurate condition reports on each listing. These pieces are antique, vintage, or pre-loved, often over 100 years old so they're going to have lived a life. A healthy patina and the odd scuff/scrape are quite normal... it's part of their charm! Everything we present has been checked over by our jeweller and should be good for wear for many years to come (unless otherwise stated) but please remember to treat them with appropriate care and consideration for their age.
