Art Nouveau Diamond "Toi Et Moi" Ring
RESERVED The Toi et Moi style has resonated with generation after generation. The OG was a sapphire and diamond ring* that Napoleon gave to Josephine de Beauharnais to celebrate their engagement. There was a distinct surge in popularity again in the early 20th century, when engagement rings really started to become a thing. The sentiment is simple, powerful, romantic: you and me, together, forever. And in this case two diamonds for invincible, enduring, and eternal love. The two .20ct old cut stones rest in millegrain platinum bezel mounts, and the 18ct gold band curves around them in a style known as a crossover (or bypass). English, circa 1910.

Condition
We offer detailed and accurate condition reports on each listing. These pieces are antique, vintage, or pre-loved, often over 100 years old so they're going to have lived a life. A healthy patina and the odd scuff/scrape are quite normal... it's part of their charm! Everything we present has been checked over by our jeweller and should be good for wear for many years to come (unless otherwise stated) but please remember to treat them with appropriate care and consideration for their age.
