Art Deco Saphiret Trilogy Ring
Cool antique three-stone ring set with white paste gemstones flanking a central saphiret. It dates from the Art Deco period, circa 1920, crafted in 9ct gold and silver. Saphiret is probably the most magical form of paste (man-made glass gemstones). The colour shimmers and morphs like nothing else, from peachy-orange to turquoise-blue - the effect is created during the manufacturing process, by adding molten gold to the blue glass mixture before it's allowed to cool. Real gold. Glass makers from the town of Gablonz, Czechoslovakia, made the discovery during the early 1900s, and saphiret articles were produced here during the early decades of the 20th century.

Condition
We offer detailed and accurate condition reports on each listing. These pieces are antique, vintage, or pre-loved, often over 100 years old so they're going to have lived a life. A healthy patina and the odd scuff/scrape are quite normal... it's part of their charm! Everything we present has been checked over by our jeweller and should be good for wear for many years to come (unless otherwise stated) but please remember to treat them with appropriate care and consideration for their age.
