Art Deco Apricot Serpent Ring
An outstanding antique snake ring dating from the Art Deco period, circa 1920. The serpent features finely textured scales, the tail looped around the head in an rudimentary knot, featuring ruby eyes and a diamond 'brain'. From its mouth dangles a sumptuous old cut diamond with the most remarkable apricot hue. The stone rests in a simple eight-prong crown setting, that's articulated allowing it to move around freely on the finger. Crafted in 18ct gold. Dare I suggest that it would make an incredible alternative engagement ring...

Condition
We offer detailed and accurate condition reports on each listing. These pieces are antique, vintage, or pre-loved, often over 100 years old so they're going to have lived a life. A healthy patina and the odd scuff/scrape are quite normal... it's part of their charm! Everything we present has been checked over by our jeweller and should be good for wear for many years to come (unless otherwise stated) but please remember to treat them with appropriate care and consideration for their age.
