1920s Old Euro Diamond Solitaire
Art Deco solitaire engagement ring with a superb .95ct old European cut diamond that clearly pre-dates the setting by half a century or more. The stone has an unusual, almost heart-shaped profile, the large pavilion facets and open culet creating bright flashes of colourful fire and good brilliance. It rests between four double prong mounts, the gallery featuring intricate pierced openwork hearts and lightly tapered shoulders - all crafted in platinum. The classic antique engagement ring, first generation. English, circa 1920.

Condition
We offer detailed and accurate condition reports on each listing. These pieces are antique, vintage, or pre-loved, often over 100 years old so they're going to have lived a life. A healthy patina and the odd scuff/scrape are quite normal... it's part of their charm! Everything we present has been checked over by our jeweller and should be good for wear for many years to come (unless otherwise stated) but please remember to treat them with appropriate care and consideration for their age.
