Victorian Blood Agate Guard Chain
Remarkable Victorian guard chain necklace, with 6 oval pebbles of blood agate set between lengths of silver chain. Veins of charcoal, ochre, ash and oakmoss hues permeate through the rust coloured stones, diverting around translucent pools of smoke and fog. The earthen tones of the agate paired with the cool of the silver chain exude the feeling of late autumn, when the air is crisp, the light fading and the unadorned landscape painted with muted shades of amber and grey. Elegant and understated.

Condition
We offer detailed and accurate condition reports on each listing. These pieces are antique, vintage, or pre-loved, often over 100 years old so they're going to have lived a life. A healthy patina and the odd scuff/scrape are quite normal... it's part of their charm! Everything we present has been checked over by our jeweller and should be good for wear for many years to come (unless otherwise stated) but please remember to treat them with appropriate care and consideration for their age.
