Victorian Gold Family Locket
Charming Victorian 'family locket' with spaces for six individual photographs - enough for the whole family (and pets, depending on your arrangement). It's hinged down the middle, like a regular oval locket, but two extra hinges allow the front and back faces to fold down, revealing the additional compartments. The outside features intricate engraved floral and foliate details with milled borders around the front compartment, and it's built in 9 carat gold "back and front", a jewellery trade term meaning that the locket's innards are made from base metal, and the back and front are layers of 9 carat gold.

Condition
We offer detailed and accurate condition reports on each listing. These pieces are antique, vintage, or pre-loved, often over 100 years old so they're going to have lived a life. A healthy patina and the odd scuff/scrape are quite normal... it's part of their charm! Everything we present has been checked over by our jeweller and should be good for wear for many years to come (unless otherwise stated) but please remember to treat them with appropriate care and consideration for their age.
