The front half, where it sits over the shoulders and down the chest, comprises navette-shaped panels finished in cobalt-blue guilloché enamel (aka Bristol Glass, and very much remeniscent of the \u003cem\u003eFirmament\u003c\/em\u003e and \u003cem\u003eEnfantment\u003c\/em\u003e rings popularised by Marie Antoinette in the 1780s), each one decorated with more white paste stones, and little floral links in between the navettes. The backs are fluted - again reminiscent of earlier, late 18th century jewels. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eBut what's the royal connection, I hear you ask? \u003ca href=\"https:\/\/collections.mfa.org\/objects\/125867\/necklace-and-box-b?ctx=086099a5-7e47-4272-a758-493d94b14ca7\u0026amp;idx=3\"\u003eWell look at this necklace by Tiffany \u0026amp; Co. (circa 1917)\u003c\/a\u003e. It's pretty similar, right? Could this, too, be a copy of one of the Italian crown jewels?
