The Lost Owl
Books, politics, and music.

I support the self-determination and liberty of all peoples.  Since Kosovo is now independent, the drive for autonomy for all peoples needs to continue.  Therefore, I support a liberated Tibet; an independent Kurdistan carved from within Iraq, Turkey, and Syria; and the partition of Somalia into Somaliland, Puntland, and Somalia.  The autonomy of other people, including in the former Soviet Union, should be encouraged and furthered.  See www.unpo.org

I support the establishment of Esperanto as an international language.  See www.esperanto-usa.org

I support the free exercise of religious beliefs, or lack thereof, by all peoples; concurrent with free proselytizing, unfettered by any government or organization. I call on those Muslim nations which make conversion a crime, to cease their persecution and allow Islam to compete in the marketplace of ideas and beliefs.

I support the re-establishment and re-affirmation of the United States Constitution; a recognition that the United States is a federal republic, not a democracy.

Thoughts on the current news:

Warning:  My government has officially stated that I hold beliefs and think thoughts that indicate I am a potential terrorist.  Thanks to Jan at the Department of Homeland Insecurity for bringing this to my attention.  You may want to exit this site now.
